What we ask

Requirements

Registration: HPCSA registration

  • HPCSA registration
  • MDT attendance and an active team role
  • Records in the designated EMR within 24 hours
  • Onboarding and protocol induction

Your MDT: Midwives, Medical officers, Obstetricians, Sonographer, Admin.

What scope can I work in?

You provide clinical support across the maternity pathway within your supervised scope of practice. You escalate anything beyond it on clear criteria. The exact scope is set with your supervisor at onboarding.

Who covers my indemnity?

You are covered for your supervised scope under the practice's arrangements, confirmed at onboarding. This differs from the retained-indemnity model used for independent practitioners. (This answer is pending HP and legal sign-off.)

What does "affiliate today, more tomorrow" mean?

You start as an affiliate in a structured role. You get supervision, boot camps and a development pathway. It is designed to broaden your scope and responsibility over time.
